The Story of My Online Writing
One day as I was looking for some information on eHow, a “How to” website, about keywords and search engine optimization for my daughter, I developed an interest in writing some articles. Little did I realize at the time that it would lead me to a passion for writing and sharing my thoughts and ideas with others. My professional online writing began on eHow that day. I began writing articles and sharing my knowledge and expertise on marriage, shopping, school, and many other topics. My deep commitment to my faith and values seemed to resonate as I shared my articles.
“Sandy1020 Blog Bytes” Is Born
I received many positive comments, thanking me for sharing my articles with others. These positive comments encouraged me to expand my writing. I began to expand my writing not only to other writing websites but also to creating a blog. Sandy1020’s Blog Bytes was born to share my writing. This blog included a variety of topics ranging from online shopping tips, to travel, to weight loss, and even more. However, as much as I loved this blog, I wanted to expand even further and try to increase my presence in the online writing community.
Several Blogs are Created
After a short while, I wanted to expand my writing even more and several blogs were then developed.
Sandy Reynolds Online — my home blog with several niche blogs accessible through it.
Born To Rome Travel — a blog to inform my online friends about my travel website.
Meditations of My Heart — a blog to share my spiritual thoughts as well as a grace-based approach to lasting weight loss.
Sandy’s Writing — a blog to share blogging tips as well as to share all of my online writing. This includes my online writing profiles with links to my articles.
The Beginnings of My First Book
We never know where life will lead us. So, never say you will never do something. Writing was the farthest thing from my mind and writing a book was even more remote. However, the many positive comments on my marriage article inspired me to begin writing a book on marriage, “When ME becomes WE — Together as One.” This book is currently only being drafted. I have not decided whether it will be published as a hardcover book or possibly as a eBook.
The Future
Sometimes we focus on our plans and get bogged down when things do not go as planned. We may not have our plans in line with God’s plan for our lives. Therefore, I hate to predict where my future lies with my online writing. I believe that God has led me to this endeavor to share my expertise and my faith. Currently my husband, my daughter and myself have plans to unveil a new website in the near future. If this is a part of God’s plan, then you will be seeing it listed in “More Blogs by Sandy” as soon as it is released.
